Gordon Ramsay's family fare cook book challenge day 23:
*Pumpkin Risotto With Parmesan
Similar recipe online, but the book is so worth it: http://www.bfeedme.com/gordon-ramsay%E2%80%99s-pumpkin-risotto-with-parmesan-recipe/
Start with carving off the pumpkin, not sure in England, but in Nova Scotia, pumpkins are not carved or sold as wedges, but a whole pumpkin. The cutting and the peeling was tough labor jobs, my hands were shaken afterward and out of strength, maybe I need a better blade. A thought pass through my mind: this dish better be really good lol.
A very rich dish, the layer of the taste was rather flat though. Can definitely taste the rich and fresh taste of pumpkin, however the taste of stock juice was kind covered because of it. It probably goes well with some other zesty dish, and served as a side dish. For supper alone it was a little boring. Although I liked the flavor and starchy texture, husband did not care much about it. Guess it is just not enough to make his taste buds happy.
